This is an older work of mine that I still love to this day. I really just had fun with it, mixing textures, color, and media. I chose to explore what the hardcore music (more specifically DC & Richmond’s) scene meant to me both visually and conceptually. I wanted to evoke some hostility but also ground and justify it by sharing the literal message: “there is no authority but yourself.”
